Description
Fibraurea recisa (Menispermaceae) is an autochthonous medicinal plant distributed in the southeast of Asian, such as China, Vietnam and Laos. In the south of Yunnan Province of China, rattan stem has been commonly used for the treatment of skin diseases, including various tinea, cutises itching, skin ulcer, by the native minority people Yao, Zhuang and Miao. Specially, local people usually take the fresh rattan stem for medical use . Obtaining major components including palmatine and other related alkaloids jatrorrhizine, berberine and columbamine.
