Description
Lithospermum erythrorhizon is a medicinal and economically valuable plant belonging to the Boraginaceae family. Roots from L. erythrorhizon have been used for centuries based on the antiviral and woundhealing properties produced from the bioactive compound shikonin and its derivatives.
