Description

Spatholobus suberectus is widely used as a food supplement in tea, wine, and soup as well as being one of the most important Chinese medicinal plants for treatment of various diseases such as blood stasis syndrome, abnormal menstruation, and rheumatism. It is mainly distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan Province, and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Pharmacological and clinical studies have demonstrated that S. suberectus exhibits various functions against oxidation, viruses, bacteria, cancer, and platelets.
