Description
Castanea mollissima, also known as the Chinese chestnut, is a member of the family Fagaceae, and a species of chestnut native to China, Taiwan, and Korea. Epicarp contains phenols organic acid, saccharides, bergapten, coumarin, tannin, sterides and flavonoid. Seed kernel contains protein, fat, amoni acid, etc. The roots, leavers have different effects, for example: promoting qi circulation for arresting pain, clearing heat and eliminating stagnation, dissipating sputum and arresting bleeding.
